Cenric Consulting Ltd was founded by Dr Cade Wells to provide a range of support services in the field of electronics and embedded software to all market sectors. We specialise in working with start-ups and small enterprises. Cenric Consulting assists clients in their development or redevelopment of products/services and in technical investigations to assess feasibility or diagnose a fault/problem. Key to delivering these services effectively and efficiently to our clients, Cenric Consulting aims to:
- rapidly respond to enquiries
- ensure that clients are advised clearly of project timescales and expected outcomes
- facilitate frequent communication with clients
- provide feedback on early project outcomes
- deliver concise final reports tailored to each client
- continue to invest in staff training
Dr Wells began his career at AT&T Network Systems UK in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, as part of a team investigating performance of local area networks. Over the following 20 years Dr Wells undertook a wide variety of engineering roles in Lucent Technologies, STMicroelectronics and SLI Ltd (Technology Consultancy Group). His broad technical skillset has allowed him to undertake numerous technical development and consultancy projects in a range of sectors including Aerospace, Energy, Consumer Electronics, Communications and Healthcare.
In addition to leading teams of experienced hardware and software engineers, Dr Wells has been a Technical Project Manager for the delivery of a joint EU ERDF/Scottish Government SEEKIT programme, for Scottish Enterprise national projects and for UK government-funded collaborative (Technology Strategy Board) projects. His interest areas include imaging/machine vision, forensic engineering, wireless communications and low-cost system implementation methods. In particular, he enjoys working with start-ups and has worked with several clients who have progressed to win John Logie Baird Awards and other Scottish and UK national awards for innovation and product design.
Dr Wells has an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Electronic System Level Integration, jointly awarded by the universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heriot-Watt and Strathclyde, and a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Bangor University, Wales. Dr Wells is also a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
